I worked in clean energy before coming to law school, and I wanted to stay in the space at Stanford. E-IPER has provided an incredible opportunity to stay current on some of the most exciting developments happening in the clean energy and sustainability world. Through E-IPER, I have already taken a range of classes where I have gotten the chance to hear from extraordinary, inspiring speakers including Ryan Popple (CEO of Proterra), Kate Brandt (Sustainability Lead at Google), and Carla Peterman (Commissioner at the California Public Utilities Commission). Looking forward, I am excited to take a variety of energy storage, renewable energy, and energy efficiency classes.
E-IPER has also provided me with an incredible clean energy community at Stanford. Through the E-IPER retreat and introductory classes, I have met good friends beyond the law school with whom I can go on hikes, get excited about new clean energy and storage technologies, and grow cross-disciplinary initiatives with. I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in the environment and sustainability consider joining the E-IPER family!
